terms and conditions
now for the boring stuff!
'the design library' is the trading name of saunders & son limited and may be referred to as 'the design library', 'we' or 'us'. 'customer' and 'you' mean the person or organisation who takes possession of the products and any other person or organisation to whom charges are to be billed, all of whom will be jointly and severally liable.
all prices are in new zealand dollars (nzd) and includes GST of 15%. the design library reserves the right to change pricing anytime at their discretion and without prior notice.
all prices are in new zealand dollars (nzd) and your credit card or bank account will be billed in new zealand dollars. if overseas, your credit card provider will convert the amount into your local currency at the current exchange rate plus add any applicable fees or charges.
we accept payment by credit card, direct deposit into our account, cheque or cash. you get to choose your preferred payment method during the checkout process.

please use your order number as a reference when direct depositing so we can track your payment. please note that some banks take twenty four to forty eight hours to process payments and unfortunately your order cannot be dispatched until these payments have been cleared.
alternatively, use the "account2account" option at checkout and your funds will be cleared straight away.
if for any reason you do not wish to make a purchase online we are more than happy to take orders over the phone. please contact us on +64 6 304 8623 if you prefer this option.
the design library accepts layby sales. a minimum 25% deposit is required and installments must be paid over ten weeks. once the final payment has been received, goods will be couriered. goods will be returned to the store if not paid for within ten weeks.
returns and exchanges
if you are not happy with the product you receive, we will either give you a refund (excluding courier costs) or exchange it if the items are returned within seven days of the purchase date. items must be returned unused and in their original packaging in order to receive a refund. we are unable to refund items that have been purchased at a discounted price ('sale items').
the design library check all products thoroughly before they are sent out. if however you do receive an item that is faulty or damaged, we'll replace it immediately. please contact us within 7 days of the purchase date in order for us to replace the product. if the product is faulty, we will refund or credit the cost of return postage.
the design library use the dps payment express payment gateway for its online credit card transactions. other customers of dps in new zealand include air new zealand, ticketek, farmers, house of travel, noel leeming, nz post, nz herald, the warehouse and tower insurance.
dps processes online credit card transactions securely for thousands of merchants globally, providing a safe and secure online payment service.
consumer data policy
the design library is serious about privacy. any information we collect about you is held with the highest level of care and security. we do not sell, trade or share this information with anyone. when you place an order, we use secure payment facilities to process all online credit card transactions. no credit card details are kept by us.
the design library is committed to protecting the confidentiality, security and privacy of your information. we respect your privacy and only use the information you provide to fill your order. with your permission, we collect your email address to keep you up to date with offers and promotions, and to confirm your order. we do not keep credit card details after a purchase has been made.
